Tom Holland is notorious for dropping MCU spoilers here and there. It's a wonder he has not been fired yet. The actor is so hopeless, in fact, that his co-stars have been assigned to keep him from giving away too much in interviews!

Here are three of the funniest times the Marvel cast policed Tom Holland ( and it worked).

#3 Jake Gyllenhaal Covered Tom's Mouth

The unlikely bromance blossomed on the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home, and we got to enjoy Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Holland's many, many, many interviews together.

In one of them for Cinépolis, Tom was about to reveal something big, but fortunately, Jake seemed to have Spidey's sense of speed and managed to stop Tom by yelling, "Ah, spoilers!" and covering his mouth.

Tom retaliated by licking Jake's hand. Gross, but effective!

#2 Benedict Cumberbatch Sang to Stop Tom

Benedict Cumberbatch had his fair share of babysitting Tom Holland moments.

The actors were invited to an interview for Kiss to promote Avengers: Infinity War, and the hosts knew how bad Tom was, so they started off by asking Holland if there were any new characters in the movie.

Being the naive soul that he is, Tom didn't even think and wanted to answer right away.

Luckily, Benedict was there to prevent catastrophes in his own unique way – by singing a tune off the top of his head, and it actually worked!

#1 Benedict Cumberbatch (Again) Took Charge

Honestly, it came pretty close with some of the RDJ's policing moments, but Cumberbatch and Holland just click together in a whole different way.

During their appearance on Good Morning America, Tom was asked if he was a freelancer or if he rejoined the rest of the group in Avengers: Infinity War (oh, the host was good!).

Before he could attempt to answer, Tom said, "That's a good question," which was the cue for Benedict to take over.

Cumberbatch swiftly went, "I'll answer it," saving Holland from yet another embarrassing spoiler slip. Well done, Benedict!

Anyway, here is our ranking of Tom Holland's top three near-slips.

Honestly, we want more of Spiderman in the MCU just for the sake of the hilarious interviews (we don't even care about his storyline).
