Friends could not have known such success if it was not so relatable – back in the '90s and even today.

Ross has gotten some arguably well-deserved hate over the years, but let's not forget all the times when we all felt like him (depressing "hi" included!).

When Ross' Leather Pants Did Him Dirty

The New Year arrives, and Ross makes a resolution to try something new every day. One of the not-so-good choices he makes is to wear leather pants.

When he goes to the bathroom and can't pull them back up, his immediate thought is to call his best friend for help. Haven't you ever panicked and called your BFF immediately? We know we have!

He then proceeds to make his bad situation worse (with Joey's help, of course) and then has a complete meltdown. "This year was supposed to be great!" Same, Ross, same!

When Ross Was All of Us at a Hotel

Monica can't go on a romantic getaway with Chandler, so Ross joins him instead (because he loves Vermont, no other reason!).

When the guys arrive at the hotel, they learn that the reservation they couldn't previously cancel is no longer in the system, and the only room available is the ridiculously expensive one.

Ross comforts Chandler and teaches him how to get his money's worth by grabbing every hotel toiletry and amenity there is.

Some people might say it is cheap of him, but, frankly speaking, if you have ever been to a luxury hotel and not stocked up on all the cool stuff, you are the weird one!

When Ross Held on to His Sandwich for Dear Life

Ross is having a hard time in Season 5. On the verge of divorce and evicted from his apartment, it doesn't take much for him to go berserk.

When someone at work (later revealed to be his boss) eats his sandwich, Ross is understandably upset and even spirals out of control, resulting in his sabbatical.

Sure, overreacting to a sandwich is not healthy, but have you ever had a bad day? Sometimes even little things can send you over the edge. We get it, Ross!

Even though Ross can be a problematic character when you put him in today's perspective, he is still just a regular guy who has made us laugh multiple times and relate to him even more.

Hopefully, there won't be as many reasons in our lives to utter "I'm FINE!" and not really mean it.
