Supernatural was an emotional rollercoaster that we all loved and hated at the same time. For the most part, the acting was just so good that it made us hysterical for years to come.

No one gave us more heart-wrenching moments than Jensen Ackles himself. Time for another tear-jerking ride?

When Dean Lost His Memory and We Just Lost It

Remember when Dean was cursed by a witch in season 12 and started losing his memory?

That scene where he looked at himself in the mirror and kept repeating "My name is Dean Winchester" until he finally lost track of who he was was our 13th reason back then…

Jensen Ackles surely knows how to make people cry. His acting in that scene was so sincere that we were all reminded of how scary Alzheimer's really can be. Chills!

When Dean Lost His Baby Brother (the First Time)

Sam and Dean are nothing if not hard to kill. However, there was a time when we still didn't know that, and our hearts broke when Sam was stabbed in the back by Jake in season 2.

The good old days when Azazel was the Winchesters ' main problem…

Jared turned out to be so good at dying that the writers just kept killing Sam off, but Dean's reaction to his baby brother's passing was very true to life (well, except for the part where he made a deal with a demon afterward).

The way Jensen portrayed the grief was so raw that many of us didn't even doubt that this could have been it for Sam.

When Dean Shared His Hell of an Experience

Though the later seasons had their fair share of drama, the earlier ones just hit different. When Dean returned from literal Hell, he didn't even share the trauma he endured for a good half of the season. When he finally did, we all felt our souls being shattered.

In that Impala scene in season 4, Dean basically broke down in front of Sam (and it showed!). Jensen's acting was off the charts there – for a moment, we all believed that he was speaking from experience.

One simply can't be that good of an actor. Well, we really hope Ackles wasn't a torturer in Hell, though if he told us he was, we would believe him without question.

"I wish I didn't feel a damn thing." Us too, Jensen, us too!

Ackles was truly a blessing for Supernatural and an integral part of the show's continued success and popularity even after it ended.
