Good thing, you most likely forgot about them already.

For a soap that's been airing almost every day for more than 60 years, it's forgivable that some storylines stand out for all the wrong reasons. Whether they are criminally inappropriate, not very well thought out, underwhelming, or just plain boring, General Hospital viewers can name a few.

Here are five storylines so unfortunate that General Hospital fans wish they weren't on the show at all.

Elizabeth’s Assault

It was hard to watch not only the scene of the attack itself, as many remember how terrifying Elizabeth's screams were, but also the process of recovery. The story was handled in a very realistic way, as the teenage Liz was extremely afraid to tell anyone about it, but it was upsetting how long she struggled.

Luke And Laura Getting Together

Although many fans were very loyal to Luke and Laura's couple, their first intimate moment was anything but dreamy. Luke basically forced himself on Laura, and it was brushed off for the longest time as if that was okay for any healthy relationship. Many General Hospital viewers wish the writers hadn't added that scene at all.

Luke’s Farewell

Many years after Luke and Laura got together, in 2015, many fans were shocked to hear about Tony Geary's sudden departure from the show. But they were even more devastated by the way his exit was handled, and how he left Port Charles without saying goodbye to Laura. Even though they weren’t together at the time, it didn’t feel appropriate.

Dante Falconeri Being Shot

There was one character who arrived in 2009 and quickly captured the viewers' attention, Dante Falconeri. As he tried to work undercover to take down Sonny's mob, viewers found out that he was actually Corinthos' son by a high school flame, Olivia Falconeri. Unfortunately, the revelation came too late, as Sonny shot Dante on the spot, and no one got to find out how that relationship might have gone.

Metro Court Hostage Situation

Although the situation itself was just as nerve-wracking as you’d want it to be portrayed, the consequences of it were underwhelming, to say the least. As Alan Quantemarine, dearly loved by many viewers, has passed away, the villain behind this plan, Jerry Jacks, escaped the entire situation without any repercussions.
