How I Met Your Mother is a well-crafted show, but even it is not without fault.

The hit sitcom ended in 2014, leaving many fans unsatisfied with the finale and wondering about a number of plot holes that were never fixed.

Here are five questions that How I Met Your Mother fans would still like to be answered.

5. Why Did Tracy Leave Mid-Wedding?

Ted left the wedding early because he had to catch a train back to New York to go to Chicago in the morning. What made Tracy, the member of the band who was paid to play at the reception, leave early too was never explained.

4. What Happened to Lily’s Career Post-Rome?

One of the major storylines of the last few seasons was Lily and Marshall’s will-they-won’t-they move to Rome. We learn that they eventually went to Italy for a year and Marshall still became a judge later, but what we’d like to know is if Lily pursued her career as an art consultant back in New York.

3. Why Did It Take Ted and Tracy So Long to Get Married?

We get that they were busy with kids and work, but Ted’s whole schtick is that he has wanted to be a husband ever since he was in his 20s. Now we’re supposed to believe that he’s just okay with waiting years to tie the knot? Nope!

2. Who Is the Mother of Barney’s Kid?

Barney attempted to achieve the perfect month, but instead ended up getting girl #31 knocked up. As a result, Ellie was born, and Barney Stinson finally found a purpose in life. All that is well and good, but tell us more about the baby mama in question!

1. What Disease Did Tracy Die from?

It’s bad enough that the mother had to pass away in the first place. Not explaining the cause of her death to the viewers? That’s a low blow, and we won’t stand for it. Tracy is the reason the show exists at all, and we deserve to know what disease took her from us in the end.

Who knows, maybe we’ll get some of these questions answered in How I Met Your Father if it ever gets renewed…
