1. Humans, 2015-2018
The series is set in the near future. Technology has advanced and humanity is using synths. These are androids that look very much like humans. But there is one important difference – they do not experience emotions. Therefore, synths are used as housekeepers.
One of the families gets such a housekeeper named Anita. Gradually she becomes the cause of discord between the spouses, and then it turns out that feelings awaken in some of the synths.
2. Pantheon, 2022-2023
One day after school, Maddie receives strange messages on her laptop and discovers that the messages are from her long-dead father, David.
It turns out that her terminally ill father agreed to participate in an experiment conducted by his employer, Logorhythms, to upload a mind into a computer. The experiment was unsuccessful; all his wife received were a few data cells containing bits of David's mind.
In fact, Logorhythms is lying. The experiment was successful and for many years they conducted experiments with David's mind uploaded into the computer until it escaped into the external network.
3. Next, 2020
Once upon a time, Paul LeBlanc worked at Zava, creating a new generation of artificial intelligence that mimicked the human mind. Then he realized that the project could get out of control and shut it down.
Some time later, the man learns that his brother Ted has continued to develop the AI. Now the technology, renamed Next, has escaped from a closed server and could lead to the collapse of the world.
Paul must stop this process. Unfortunately, he is terminally ill and knows that he has only a few months to live.
4. Are You Human Too?, 2018
Once upon a time, a talented scientist Laura developed androids that were almost indistinguishable from humans. Later, Laura's husband committed suicide, and her cruel father-in-law took her son Nam Shin for himself and cut off all contact with the woman.
The mother then created a robot that looked as much like her child as possible – Nam Shin III. Years later, the original man, who holds a high position in the company, gets into an accident due to an attack.
Now he is in a coma and Nam Shin III replaces him at his workplace. But something changes in the android – he falls in love.
5. Almost Human, 2013-2014
In the middle of the 21st century, police officers work side by side with androids. However, Detective John Kennex hates these machines: during an operation to catch criminals, one of them refused to help the man and his partner.
As a result, John lost his leg and spent more than a year in a coma. Now he returns to work, but refuses to serve with robots. Then he is given an experimental model as a partner, the mass production of which was abandoned.
The thing is, they turned out to be too similar to humans. So perhaps John will find a true friend in his new partner.
