6 Sci-Fi Movies of 2023 to Watch on Netflix in November
The most original concepts available only on Netflix.
Netflix, unlike many other streaming services, is a great source of quality movies and its library is growing every month.
We've put together a list of new releases for 2023, a year that has been very fruitful for sci-fi movies.
Release date: January 20, 2023
To win a war, a corporation creates new combat robots with an AI developed from the consciousness of the deceased war hero of the Allied Forces, Captain Jung-yi. However, Jung-yi's daughter soon learns that the company has its own agenda.
Critics have noted that the script is fairly good, calling out the exploitation of AI as well as being a profound sci-fi parable about mother-daughter relationships. However, Jung_E has been panned for an overabundance of subpar CGI.

65 was one of the most anticipated films of the first half of 2023, with A Quiet Place co-screenwriters Scott Beck and Bryan Woods writing and directing the new film, co-produced by Sam Raimi, and starring none other than Adam Driver. Nevertheless, 65 turned out to be an underwhelming sci-fi movie with a mediocre plot that disappointed critics. However, this did not bother the general audience, and many, accepting the simplicity and inflexibility of the script, were happy to watch 65 as an action movie.
The plot is really quite simple: 65 million years ago, a spaceship lands on a planet full of dangerous alien creatures. The planet turns out to be Earth, and the aliens in question are dinosaurs.
4. Bird Box Barcelona
Release date: July 14, 2023
Whereas in A Quiet Place, people had to keep their voices down so as not to turn the monsters on themselves, Bird Box played on the fear of being in the dark, as according to the story, the sight of the mysterious creatures would cause the victim to immediately commit suicide. This kind of premise allowed the movie to build up no small amount of tension and a unique mythology that was further developed in the Spanish spin-off released this year.
3. They Cloned Tyrone
Release date: July 21, 2023
They Cloned Tyrone is about a young black man, played by John Boyega, who discovers that all the black residents of his neighborhood are experiments in cloning, mind control, and generational breeding in order to assimilate all people of color into a solidly white society.
The movie was incredibly funny and witty, with many noting how well the social commentary was implemented into the script, and the acting by John Boyega, Jamie Foxx and Teyonah Parris will leave no one indifferent.
Release date: July 27, 2023
This German dystopian thriller has a very intriguing premise, according to which the main currency in the near future is the allotted years of life. The protagonist, an employee of the company that created this concept, learns that his employer plans to exploit the years of his wife's life. According to critics and viewers, the movie was decent, but the plot failed to express the motivation of the party responsible for the atrocities.

If you can't get enough of supernatural bromances, then this Indian Telugu-language movie is for you, bros! The movie follows an arrogant IT worker who, after dying in a road accident, is given the chance to live on earth for an extra three months to right his wrongs. However, the protagonist must spend all of this time in the company of a time god who judges his actions. The movie was well received for the dynamic between the protagonists, but some noted that it was inferior to its Tamil original, Vinodhaya Sitham 2021.
