Despite the hype around yet another Star Wars series, it seems that its main character is not exactly universally loved.

As first sneak peeks at the upcoming Ahsoka Disney Plus series start to arrive, fans appeared to have started a dangerous discussion, arguing that the Tano is not, in fact, as lovable and perfect as many seem to think.

Many people have stated that she is one of the most overrated characters in the Star Wars universe. Some people believe that she is one of "the weakest Jedi ever seen" for some reason, even though she "literally has the embodiment of the light side within her".

Now that Ahsoka has landed yet another series, some fans think that renders her "one of the most overused and overrated characters in Star Wars".

Others believe that the fandom has already had enough of Ahsoka in the animated series, and there is no need for a live-action adaptation for her. Some people just prefer the animated version of Ahsoka, slamming the first stills from the show as "unnatural", hoping that the production is still ongoing and the visuals will be fixed at some point.

One Twitter fan is particularly skeptical about the upcoming show, and not the character.

"Lemme guess: 2 hours worth of story in a 6-8 episode framework. Most of the humor is eye rolling and over explaining its own jokes. The show will be 90% filler with 1-3 scenes people actually care about. It's gonna be forgotten about in 3 months after the last episode airs," Twitter user F0rg0tt3nPr0f1t said.

Ahsoka is set to hit Disney Plus at some point in 2023, with the exact premiere date to be scheduled later. Despite the sudden skepticism that came after the first still from the show, fans are still excited to see Ahsoka Tano in live action, portrayed by Rosario Dawson.
