We are all ready for Mrs. Smith’s big comeback, but it might be a while.

If you had to name one of the most famous female celebrities in the world, it would probably be Angelina Jolie. Starting out as a promising actress at a very young age, she conquered Hollywood with her talent as well as her kindness.

Throughout the years, life has thrown many obstacles in her way, but Jolie has always managed to overcome them with grace and a charming smile on her face. Now that the star is 48 years old, she's still in her prime to continue her career, but many are noticing that she's not as active anymore.

As Hollywood tries to remake one of her most famous projects, the public is left wondering where the real Mrs. Smith is.

As Jolie shared in the recent Vogue interview, the decision to step away from the cameras was intentional. In fact, the actress agrees to do movies that don't require too much filming and tries to focus more on all the changes that are happening in her life. She feels that she's in the middle of a transition, and it's not always easy to get through it.

Since she is as busy as ever, the actress doesn't really suffer from losing some roles. If anything, the decision gives her the freedom to focus on other passions in her life, such as her new fashion brand, her ambassadorship for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and other volunteer work.

All of these aspects of Jolie's life bring a lot of changes into it as well.

“I guess I’m in transition as a person. I feel a bit down these days. I don’t feel like I’ve been myself for a decade, in a way, which I don’t want to get into. <...> Part of this has also been therapeutic for me — to work in a creative space with people you trust and to rediscover yourself. I’m hoping to change many aspects of my life. And this is the forward-facing one,” the actress said.

Jolie's last big-screen role was in 2021 when the actress appeared in the MCU 's Eternals and Those Who Wish Me Dead, directed by Taylor Sheridan. In 2024, the actress will join the cast of Kung Fu Panda for the fourth time to voice Master Tigress. Other than that, her filming schedule is pretty clear, and we wouldn't be surprised if it stays that way for a while.
