How many people could Taylor Kinney possibly cover?

Summary:

  • One Chicago is a franchise that consists of several procedural dramas, including Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago P.D.
  • All of the shows have been renewed to return in 2024, but all of them will see some cast changes.
  • The latest update comes from Chicago Fire with the news of Alberto Rosende's departure.

No other TV franchise has seemingly gone through more cast changes over the past year than NBC's One Chicago. With so many people leaving and joining the shows across the board, viewers are left wondering what new seasons of their favorite procedurals will look like when they are released.

From one point of view, the changes could be beneficial for all the shows. As everyone has now learned, the worst thing that can happen to a show is for it to become stale, and no fan of either Chicago series would want that to happen. New characters always bring new dynamics.

On the other hand, it's always hard to say goodbye. Especially when it comes to characters that viewers have grown to love over the years. This time around, the cast of Chicago Fire was hit with the grim news of another sudden departure.

Who Is Leaving Chicago Fire Season 12?

Beginning with season 12, Chicago Fire viewers will no longer see Blake Gallo. The character portrayed by Alberto Rosende, previously known to audiences for his performance in Shadowhunters, has been on the show for the past four seasons. However, the premiere of the 12th season will be his last appearance.

There are no specific details about the actor's departure, but viewers are already devastated by the news, knowing that Gallo wouldn't be the only one to be written off.

Season 12 will also be the last for Kara Killmer's Sylvie Brett. Although it's not specified how many episodes Killmer will be in and when exactly Brett will say goodbye, many believe it will happen fairly quickly this season.

Since her departure is likely related to her long-time lover Matt Casey's proposal in the season 11 finale, it's only fair to assume that it won't take too long for her to say “yes.”

The only good news that fans have to console themselves with for now is the news of Taylor Kinney's return as Kelly Severide. The actress was absent for most of season 11 for undisclosed reasons, and many fans were worried that the decision to leave was final.

Luckily, that didn't happen, and at least Chicago Fire has something to look forward to instead of waiting in fear. If you miss Kelly Severide and don't want to miss the chance to say goodbye to Blake Gallo and Sylvie Brett, be sure to tune in to NBC on January 17th for the season 12 premiere of Chicago Fire.
