You have to always follow the colors.

One of the things that always amazes Bridgerton viewers about the costumes the show uses is the colors. Vibrant or pale, cool or warm, they always end up being absolutely crucial to the story. However, it's almost impossible to notice and appreciate most of the details and references without rewatching the footage several times in a row.

Luckily, with season 3 still on the way, and Netflix still keeping things secret for no apparent reason, there are plenty of opportunities for fans to re-watch the series and reflect on what exactly they saw.

One scene from season 2, for example, was full of characters and told viewers more about them all in two seconds than we ever got to see. The scene in question is a Pall Mall game, and the exact moment that is being discussed by fans is the moment when each player pulls out his mallet.

The handles of the mallets are all marked with different colors, so it's full of hidden meanings. First, we see that Colin gets the yellow one, which symbolizes the color of Penelope's dress. As we all know, Colin and Penelope are the main couples of season 3, so this is a reference to an upcoming story.

Benedict gets the purple hammer, and this is the show's subtle hint at his future love interest, Sophie. Purple is the color of Bridgerton's handmaidens, so the most observant viewers would know where it came from. Eloise getting the orange one hints at her future with Phillip Crane, as we've seen orange is the primary color of his house in the scenes with Marina.

Daphne and Edwina's choices may seem out of character, but there is an explanation for both of them. Daphne takes a plain white hammer – whichever one was left behind, since we already know her story. For Edwina's blue, "excellent choice" means she is trying to fit in with the Bridgerton family.

So if you're still feeling like there's no way to make your Bridgerton rewatch interesting again, try paying attention to the color schemes in each scene to get a deeper understanding of all the characters. You can either stream the show on Netflix or just keep an eye out for more season 3 news and updates.
