The sudden new wave of fan love for the forgotten series has worked wonders.

It’s been a couple of weeks since Netflix viewers took to their social media to share their raving reviews about a 2020 crime drama show that was hiding in the streaming’s collection for years, and now all the hype has done its job in the best way possible.

Initially released as a miniseries four years ago and then revived for yet another season, Your Honor has officially entered Netflix’s US top 10, and according to the recent data provided by FlixPatrol, is now holding a second place, surpassed only by Netflix’s hit show Bridgerton.

What Is Your Honor About?

Starring Bryan Cranston as a prominent New Orleans judge, Your Honor follows Michael Desiato whose serene pace of life is suddenly turned into a nightmare when his teenage son Adam accidentally kills another teenager.

As an arbiter of justice, Michael is adamant in his decision to persuade Adam to turn himself in to the police, but there’s a quick change of plan when Michael finds out that the murdered teenager was a crime boss’ son.

Now having an intention to protect his son from whatever happens as his priority, Michael gets into an entangled web of tricky games, lies and dark secrets revealing which may result in fatal consequences.

Originally conceived as a one-season show, Your Honour premiered back in 2020 with such acclaim that the creators eventually had a change of heart and let fans enjoy one more season which was released in 2023 and became the final one for the series.

Despite all the accolades Your Honor has received from its audience, the show holds average scores on Rotten Tomatoes, with 50% and 69% from critics and viewers for season 1 and 50% and 65% respectively for season 2.

Still, more than a year after its definite ending, the series seems to be doing just fine, getting its second life in the streaming’s top for quite some time already.

Both seasons of Your Honor are available for streaming on Netflix.
