Chicago Fire is set to premiere its 12th season next Wednesday, January 17. Unfortunately, the very first episode will also be the very last for Firehouse 51's very own Blake Gallo, as Alberto Rosende, who portrays him, will be leaving the show shortly.

Fortunately for Gallo's fans, he won't be killed off in a hurry. On the contrary, there is a plan to write him off on a high note. However, there are still some questions that weigh on the minds of the audience. His love life is one of them.

Will Chicago Fire’s Blake Gallo Be With Violet Mikami?

Before Rosende's run on Chicago Fire comes to an end, there is one question that is still bothering the majority of fans. The lack of closure between his character Blake Gallo and his former crush, ex-girlfriend, and good friend Violet Mikami.

Did they ever get a chance to make things right? Could this be the endgame for Blake Gallo, if not the sudden exit? These are the questions Chicago Fire showrunner Andrea Newman tackled in an interview with Variety.

“I think they’ve become such good friends that that would have been a twisty-turny place to get to. I think their relationship really evolved into a beautiful friendship. So in terms of Violet, I don’t feel like that was going to be endgame. Their friendship became so important at that stage,” she said.

The good news for all shippers is that the pairing can still live happily ever after and evolve the way you want it to. In reality, though, there wouldn't be much hope for any Gallo/Violet truthers anyway, so saying goodbye to Alberto Rosende's character can be just a little bit easier.

Alberto Rosende won't be the only one leaving Chicago Fire this season, as it will also be Kara Killmer's last. However, Sylvie Brett and Matt Casey have a much better chance of becoming an endgame and fleeing Chicago as a happy couple rather than remaining friends.
