Is there a way for Ben Affleck’s Daredevil to appear in the MCU?

The 2003 Daredevil movie, directed by Mark Steven Johnson, was the first attempt at bringing this comic book superhero to the big screen, long before Daredevil, portrayed by Charlie Cox, got his successful series on Netflix.

Ben Affleck portrayed Matt Murdock, a lawyer who was blinded in a tragic accident as a child but gained heightened senses in return, fights for justice in the courtroom by day, and by night, he dons a red leather suit to patrol Hell’s Kitchen as Daredevil.

The movie also starred Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Colin Farrell as Bullseye, and Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin. Despite the all-star cast, the film received mixed reviews.

Critics appreciated its attempts at a more mature and darker tone compared to other superhero movies of that time, but others critiqued the movie for its inconsistent plot and character development.

One of the most memorable scenes from the film is where young Matt gets splashed in the eyes with a biohazard chemical, which ultimately leads to his blindness and his superhuman senses. This is the scene that has now been revisited by the fans, with the theory linking it to the modern MCU.

The theory points at a striking similarity between the visual representation of this scene and the color of Wanda’s powers when she uses her chaos magic to manipulate reality itself. Every time she uses her powers, these distinctive red arcs of energy emerge.

This is where the theory gets wild. What if the red energy that surged into Matt's eyes wasn't just a biohazard chemical but remnants of Wanda's chaos magic?

The theory suggests that in Affleck’s universe, Wanda could've unleashed an explosion of chaos magic energy. And, in a twist of fate, Matt was splashed in the eyes with the leftover chemical waste of the items she hexed.

To put it into perspective, this theory suggests that Affleck's Daredevil could've been a part of the MCU, unbeknownst to everyone.

Sounds far-fetched? Maybe, but isn't that part of the fun? These kinds of mind-boggling theories, however crazy they may seem, are what keep fans eagerly discussing, debating, and theorizing.
