As the premiere of Gotham Knights approaches, Misha Collins reveals new details about the project that will have Destiel fans buzzing.

Gotham Knights is a DC series about Batman 's successors trying to bring order to the city. The show is set after the death of Bruce Wayne.

Batman's adopted son is forced into a dubious alliance with the children of his enemies after they are all framed for his father's murder.

Becoming the city's most wanted criminals, they attempt to clear their names. But Gotham without Batman has become a dangerous place.

A team of misfit renegades becomes the next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights. Many fans are eagerly awaiting this series because of Misha Collins ' portrayal of Two-Face.

However, it turns out that not only Misha, but another Supernatural star Jensen Ackles could join the show. And not just join, but become the new Batman.

On the recent Flash Podcast, Misha was asked if any of his former Supernatural co-stars could be in the show, and it turns out that Jensen had every chance of being in the same project with Collins again.

"I don't know if I'm supposed to reveal this, but we tried to work it out to have Jensen play Batman on the show. It was all kind of teed up, but unfortunately, Jensen was on another show at the time [laughs], and coordinating between two series is challenging. So it didn't ultimately end up working out, but we tried." The actor said.

Jensen also had a good chance because he is the voice of Batman in animated films. Many fans also agree that Jensen would make a great new incarnation of Batman on the small screen.

"Imagine how crazy it would be if he played Bruce Wayne on Batwoman. I can't think of a better fit for the role. He is a CW veteran and he is the right age. He would kill it!" Reddit user hlowenthal said.

Even though fans won't see the golden duo in the new project, the actors gave us another opportunity for nostalgia.

Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki made a funny video to promote the Gotham Knights and it's something Supernatural fans shouldn't miss. The series will be released on March 14 on the CW.
