Over its sixty-year run, Doctor Who has featured some of the most talented actors in the UK.

Let's find out who the fans think is the best Doctor of them all, shall we?

Here are all the Doctors ranked (according to the fans), with the exception of the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Doctors as we haven't seen them in action yet.

15. Sixth Doctor

Colin Baker's Doctor just didn't last long enough for people to warm up to him. He had only two companions and a total of eight stories, leaving an aftertaste of uncertainty when he eventually exited.

14. Seventh Doctor

Sylvester McCoy's Doctor is a lot darker than any of the previous incarnations, and many fans didn't like that change at the time. Still, his performance is impeccable, and there was no one better to see classic Doctor Who through to the end.

13. Second Doctor

Patrick Troughton arguably had it the hardest – after all, he had to follow in William Hartnell's footsteps, and not everyone appreciated such a radical shift in the character's personality back then.

Plus, half of his episodes are still missing, and it's really difficult to judge Troughton's performance based on just the remaining half.

12. Thirteenth Doctor

Jodie Whittaker was the first woman to portray such an iconic character, and as with all firsts, people weren't immediately digging it.

Chibnall's writing was more than questionable, but Jodie did the best she could with the material she was given.

11. Fifth Doctor

Peter Davison took on the legendary role in the '80s, and many fans describe his Doctor as "neither here nor there." He had a few great episodes, but didn't particularly strike people as their favorite Doctor.

10. Eighth Doctor

Paul McGann originally appeared in the revival movie, but it was enough for people to fall in love with his Doctor. He later returned for a cameo in two episodes of the new series (and we were happy to see him).

9. War Doctor

John Hurt surely made his Doctor memorable, if only for a couple of episodes. The War Doctor is everything we imagined and more, and that's largely due to Hurt's unique take on the character.

8. Ninth Doctor

Christopher Eccleston may have broken the three-season tradition, but that didn't stop him from successfully bringing a new generation of Whovians into the fold.

Say what you will about him, but Chris' Doctor was exactly what we needed at the time.

7. Third Doctor

Jon Pertwee was the first Doctor to appear in color and to be stuck on Earth as UNIT's advisor. Still, he delivered a consistently amazing performance throughout his seasons, and we love him for it.

6. Eleventh Doctor

Matt Smith is essentially new Doctor Who's Patrick Troughton. He had to follow David Tennant, who was an absolute fan favorite, but he managed to find his footing on the show as the youthful-looking-but-actually-very-old regeneration we all came to adore.

5. Fugitive Doctor

Jo Martin's Doctor is still more of a mystery than anything else, but fans were quickly taken with her (and are now begging for a spinoff or a full season with her). RTD, make it happen, will you?

4. Fourth Doctor

Having played the Doctor for seven years, Tom Baker largely defined classic Doctor Who's vibe. He is consistently at the top of the charts, and fans are obsessed with his Doctor to this day.

3. First Doctor

William Hartnell was absolutely outstanding, and he is the reason why the show is still on the air after all these years. By the way, David Bradley has done a great job of carrying on the First Doctor's legacy!

2. Twelfth Doctor

Peter Capaldi brought the classic vibe into the new era, and that's why fans are still quite smitten with his Doctor (who can blame them?). Some of the show's best episodes also happened during his seasons!

1. Tenth Doctor

It's really quite simple – David Tennant is so loved that he is both the Tenth and the Fourteenth Doctor. Is there really anything else to add here? Ten was the best, and we all want him back.

Let's see where the Fourteenth ranks after the fall episodes…
