Henry Cavill and Elizabeth Olsen share certain similarities in their careers.

Their defining roles involved superhero movies, albeit in different comic book universes, and they are at the moment done with their most recent notable roles (Cavill is leaving the Witcher TV series after the third season, and Olsen's character in MCU, Wanda Maximoff, currently appears to be dead, and there are no further contracts with Olsen that would indicate plans to resurrect Wanda at the moment).

With the background of uncertainty regarding their future roles, rumors have emerged that HBO is considering inviting both to HBO's greatest hit at the moment, House of the Dragon.

So it is understandable, and perhaps even expected, to see lots of fanart, like this image of Cavill and Olsen as characters from Westeros:

The artist 83pixelstudios put Cavill and Olsen into impressive clothing, resembling that worn by certain iconic figures from The Seven Kingdoms, and put them against the backdrop which was used in HBO's posters for House of the Dragon Season 1. The results, as you can see, were quite impressive.

As for the rumors of them actually appearing in House of the Dragon, they sadly are quite baseless. They originated from a tweet by one of the numerous "insiders" on the Internet, which stated that Olsen and Cavill were "being eyed" by HBO, which, even if true, does not really mean anything specific and concrete.

Maybe the showrunners and studio bosses at HBO just speculated in private that it would have been nice to have big stars like Cavill and Olsen on their show, if only they could afford them.

What we know for sure is that Cavill had been asked about these rumors in his interview with Josh Horowitz at 92nd Street Y, and debunked them.

"I enjoy that enormously. I think the writing is fantastic," Cavill said regarding House of the Dragon. "I think it would be cool to be in Westeros. I really do. I don't think there is a place for me in there though."

And Olsen, when the same question was raised in her interview with Variety, answered: "No, I haven't seen that rumor!"

Therefore, fanart is likely going to be our only opportunity to see them in Westeros together.
