Fans Are Really Mad With Disney Over 'Star Wars' Franchise, And 'Ahsoka' Is Now Under Fire Too
These days, it's enough for Disney to announce the production of a new 'Star Wars'-based show to trigger fan outrage.
Amidst the ongoing firestorm around the 'Obi-Wan Kenobi ' plot leaks, fans have lashed out at yet another show that has not even been made yet – 'Ahsoka '.
In May, Disney announced that 'Ahsoka', its new original series, has started production, with Rosario Dawson as the titular character. And even though little is known about the upcoming show, fans have already taken issue with it.
While some think that people should be "thankful" for any kind of Star Wars content, others believe that the content also has to be good.
Especially when people actually pay for the content.
Recently, fans have unleashed a lot of criticism towards Disney for its treatment of the Star Wars franchise; the Kenobi plot leaks that effectively retconned the original Star Wars movies did not help at all.
Still, there is a great deal of people who are excited for 'Ahsoka'. The upcoming show does not have a release date yet, and there is not much known about the story. The series is written by Dave Filoni, joined by Jon Favreau as one of the executive producers.
