While there is a chance of the plot of 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' being completely different from the leaked one, the outrage is unlikely to wear off until the premiere.
Warning: the article contains major unconfirmed spoilers for 'Obi-Wan Kenobi'
Following what appears to be a massive 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' plot leak, fans are up in arms about Disney's treatment of the iconic Star Wars franchise and the Kenobi series in particular. They seem to be outraged to the point when they are ready to boycott the show alltogether, even though it is yet to premiere.
Should the leaks end up being true, it would seem that Kenobi failed to protect Luke Skywalker from Darth Vader's inquisitors, and the boy only survived thanks to the mercy of one of them – Reva. According to the plot leaks, she tries to trick Vader into thinking that she killed Obi-Wan, but he still does not believe her and kills her as she tries to fool him.
Fans are not ready to settle with such a retcon, claiming that Disney "ruined" the Star Wars franchise and going into full "we will not be watching" mode.
Yet again, there is a big chance that the leaks do not have anything in common with the actual storyline of the show.
'Obi-Wan Kenobi' premieres on Disney Plus on May 27, and may the force be with all of us so that the fan rage does not blow us away should the leaks indeed happen to be true.
