The legendary franchise led by Hollywood’s biggest stars may take an exciting new turn.

  • Michael Crichton’s novel Jurassic Park has seen multiple of its cinematic installments over the course of the decades — and now that it’s getting one more movie adaptation, the latest news about its potential cast has fans across the world raving.
  • The recent news concerns two A-list actors who could potentially become the upcoming film’s leads — with one of them making a huge achievement possible if he’s indeed cast.
  • The news hasn’t been confirmed regarding both actors, but the official reports may come in quite soon given the film’s release set for 2025.

It all started back in the 1990s with Steven Spielberg ’s adaptation and has never quit the cinema screens since — Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park turned out to be so prolific that the worldwide famous novel has seen yet several of its installments in the cinema world.

As the recent trilogy with Chris Pratt in the leading role is over, it may be time for the franchise to take new and exciting heights — and with the latest casting news it seems to be even more feasible.

Though the rumors around Jurassic World’s new interpretation and its production have been circulating for months, it’s only now that Deadline dropped a real bombshell about the upcoming movie’s leading actors.

According to early reports, Jonathan Bailey, famous for his roles in Bridgerton and Fellow Travellers, and Scarlett Johansson are the main challengers to lead the future film’s cast.

Both stars haven’t been confirmed for the exciting roles yet as Jonathan Bailey “is in early talks” while Scarlett Johansson is also still in the negotiation process. Gareth Edwards is set to direct, as it was reported earlier this year.

If the reports are confirmed anytime soon, the brand new adaptation’s cast may have all the chances to become Hollywood’s big win — and not only in terms of the box office.

For those who are not familiar with Jonathan Bailey’s life and work, it’s important to note that the actor is gay and, if he is indeed chosen as a new lead in the franchise, it will be a huge milestone not only for Jurassic World’s saga itself, but also for Hollywood as a whole.

The reason for that is quite simple — so far there hasn’t been any single major franchise led by a gay actor.

In Scarlett Johansson’s case everything is clearer — if she’s a final choice for the new installment, Jurassic World will get one of the highest-paid actresses in the world under its belt. Apparently, also a big win.

Whether both actors are cast for the movie or only one of them will eventually make it to a leading role, Universal Pictures is getting a jackpot anyway — and given that the film is set to be released in July next year, the casting news will be confirmed or debunked very soon.
