One of Ross’s most memorable girlfriends who had Bruce Willis for a father had the most uncomfortable experience when it came to dealing with the producers.

From 1994 to 2004, Friends absolutely dominated the sitcom arena and were among the biggest TV shows in the world. What started as a lowkey experiment that struggled to attract famous actors quickly grew into a titan which most A-listers were happy to star in even as a short cameo. Friends was launching careers back then.

Becoming part of Friends was a career-changing opportunity for aspiring actors, too, and they were coming to auditions in massive flocks.

Alexandra Holden, among many others, wanted a piece of that Friends cake, and she was auditioning for the part of Ross’s new girlfriend Elizabeth. This was clearly a promising role for the young actress.

However, when Holden was called for a chemistry read with David Schwimmer, her future on-screen lover, she received an uncomfortable request from the producers and couldn’t even sleep stressing over it the night before the audition.

“I got called in to do a chemistry read with David Schwimmer. It was terrifying because the producers told me to come in looking ‘as hot as possible.’ I didn’t know what to do with that information. It sent me into a tailspin. I stayed up all night trying to figure out what to wear,” Alexandra Holden shared with Huffington Post.

Back in the day, the young actress was incredibly uncomfortable and stressed over this notion.

She obviously wanted to co-star with Schwimmer and Willis so she took the request very seriously — but now that she’s way more experienced, Holden has a different opinion: obviously, she “wouldn’t be happy getting that message.”

But as you can tell from the fact that she booked the role, Alexandra Holden nailed the assignment, and her chemistry read with David Schwimmer went brilliantly.

Apart from the questionable start to her Friends journey, the actress holds no grudge against the cast or crew of the iconic show and recalls her time on the set with fondness.
