According to insiders, the character of Reagan Stark has been already cast — and if the show follows Fire & Blood closely, this actor will stay in HotD for a long time.

The predecessor of House of the Dragon, Game of Thrones, had the world in its grasp: it used to be the most pirated, most popular, and most leaked show back in the day. While House of the Dragon doesn’t boast the same hype levels, insiders and scoopers are still very keen on providing as many sneak peeks at it as possible.

In the previous weeks, for instance, we learned that we’ll travel to the Wall in Season 2 — the fragments of this monumental structure on the parking lot behind the HotD set hinted at it. While in the original George Martin ’s book, Fire & Blood, it’s not supposed to happen at this point, the show is seemingly set on this excursion.

This scoop was confirmed further when a leaked behind-the-scenes photo from the House of the Dragon makeup booth revealed a reference board for the undead extras. This revelation got us thinking that maybe, we’ll even travel beyond the Wall and meet the White Walkers’ thralls…for some reason. We’re not quite sure why yet.

But admittedly, since the Wall is in the Northern domain, the Starks will have something to do with it — perhaps, Lord Cregan Stark will take his guest, Jacaerys Velaryon, there? And speaking of Cregan, some insiders claim that he was already cast, and the role will go to Tom Taylor (Uhtred from The Last Kingdom).

“Actor Tom Taylor, 22, will play Cregan Stark in Season 2 of House of the Dragon, according to insiders. Cregan Stark is the current Lord of Winterfell and Protector of the North,” wrote the main Brazilian fan account of House of the Dragon on X (formerly Twitter).

While this scoop is yet to be confirmed by HBO, Tom Taylor looks like a solid choice for Cregan Stark — and if HotD sticks closer to the source material (which may not be since they’re seemingly taking the action beyond the Wall), the actor will be part of the show for quite some time.

We’ll keep an eye out for any further updates — and we’ll keep you posted.
