As a new chapter of Thor's journey approaches, fans are beginning to wonder if the Asgardian trickster will appear again in the main MCU timeline.
Tom Hiddleston's Loki is without a doubt the most beloved villain Marvel Studios has ever created, and thanks to his great narrative arc in the Disney+ series of the same name, the God of mischief has become a true hero worthy of his own redemption arc. And while Thor and all the other MCU characters believe Loki is dead, fans still expect him to appear before his grieving brother, at least in the post-credits scene. But could this actually happen in 'Love and Thunder'?
"I don’t think we’ll see variant Loki. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a flashback, or, if we’re lucky, maybe some kind of vision where dead Loki comes to help Thor in some way. I would die for that!" – /Ishantah.
"I mean, how many times can we kill him? We love Tom. Yeah. But he's dead. Not him, but the character of Loki," Hemsworth said.
Yes, it looks like Hiddleston won't be joining Hemsworth, Russell Crowe and Natalie Portman in 'Love and Thunder', staying dead, at least in this MCU continuity. However, the second season of 'Loki' is currently filming, and fans will see their favorite trickster next year, as people already have some great ideas about how the two Asgardian brothers might finally reunite.
"Low key would be great if Thor or a Thor (still played by Chris) was in Loki and they did some sneaking around together against the TVA." – /Instantbeef.
