Oscar Isaac has suggested him for the upcoming film, while fans are also anticipating another Spider-Man who was strangely absent from the sequel.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, a highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is finally here, and it didn't disappoint at all, receiving praise from fans and critics alike, with some even pointing out that it turned out to be even better than the original.

Like its predecessor, it introduces a number of alternate versions of the iconic hero, including Spider-Man 2099 or Miguel O'Hara, voiced by Oscar Isaac.

Curiously, this is the third time the actor has portrayed a Marvel Comics character, the previous ones being the mutant Apocalypse in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and the Moon Knight in the TV series of the same name in 2022.

In a recent interview with GQ, Isaac answered a variety of questions, one of which was who he would like to see voice another version of the hero in the next film.

The actor praised the ability of the creators to choose the perfect people for the roles and gave a surprising answer, suggesting none other than Pedro Pascal, who he believes would be a great choice for a "cranky, old Spider-Person."

Fans are on board with the possibility, saying that Pascal's immense talent makes him capable of playing any role.

However, their ideas for his Spider-Man are drastically different, with some suggesting that he play a Spider-Dad of sorts, as the actor's recent roles have been about taking care of children in TV shows like The Last of Us and The Mandalorian.

Others suggest outright bizarre ideas, such as Pedro voicing a literal giant spider.

Fans were also disappointed that the movie didn't feature a cameo from 1994's Spider-Man: The Animated Series, voiced by Christopher Daniel Barnes.

The actor is still around nearly three decades later, involved in a variety of Spider-Man-related projects, from different animated shows to video games.

Considering all this, it is quite possible that the creators will take Isaac's idea into consideration, along with the suggestions of the fans, and we might just see these two actors in the next Spider-Verse movie.

The third installment, already titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is scheduled to be released on March 29, 2024.
