‘Doctor Strange 2: Multiverse of Madness’ trailer has prompted a lot of speculation among the fans. Some believe it will feature X-men and even Superior Iron-Man, with Patrick Stewart supposedly returning as Professor Xavier.

James McAvoy has assured the fans that they should not be expecting him in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel, ‘Multiverse of Madness’.

Moreover, it seems that he does not even miss playing the character: when asked about it during his Instagram live, McAvoy replied: “No, I don’t think so”.

However, fans are not ready to believe him, as they already heard something like that from a certain someone named Andrew Garfield, who was assuring everyone that he’s not part of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.

Still, McAvoy’s remarks do not necessarily mean there would be no Professor Xavier in ‘Multiverse of Madness’.

Additionally, it seems that McAvoy’s 'no' does not quite amount to 'no' from Andrew Garfield.

The extent to which the X-men universe will merge with the Marvel Cinematic Universe remains to be seen in ‘Multiverse of Madness’, coming out May 6. Rumors claimed that, aside from Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier, there will be Superior Iron-Man, allegedly portrayed by Tom Cruise. Seems like the only way to know for sure is to head to the cinemas as soon as the movie hits the screens!
