Someone just loves their job way too much.

If you have spent some 15 years playing one character on one show, surely you have to know it inside out. But when it comes to Jensen Ackles, the actor behind Supernatural 's Dean Winchester, he can certainly outdo the expectations.

According to what his wife, Danneel, revealed at one of The Winchesters press conferences, Ackles boasts a really impressive knowledge of Supernatural.

"Jensen is actually really, really good at remembering every single detail about Supernatural," Danneel revealed before speaking to Jensen directly: "If I give you a scene, you can tell me exactly what year, what episode, what you were doing, where you were living..."

Ackles, however, turned out to be somewhat ashamed of this little detail.

"I don't need people to know that about me," he said.

Well, too late — now they know, and it seems they now love Ackles even more.

"It's ok Jensen. We're spn geeks too, you can sit with us. We have cookies," Twitter fan DotThinging wrote.

Some fans even recalled other facts about Ackles to try and explain his photographic memory.

"This reminds me of how Jensen described his process, how after reading the script and then reading it again to memorize his lines, he'd marry it all to the physical environment around him so it would come naturally. That's probably why he's able to remember so well." – @lotusfalling

Others suggested that Jensen "downplays" his gift because he doesn't like the attention. However, the skill of memorizing the lines so well is just what the actor needs — and given that Ackles is about to return to screens as Dean Winchester, it will be of use in the future.

The Winchesters is due to air on The CW on October 11, taking viewers on a journey back to the past, when John and Mary Winchester, the parents of Sam and Dean, met and fell in love. Despite the show being preemptively criticized for apparently retconning Supernatural, many fans believe in Ackles, who is an executive producer and one of the stars.

The Dean Winchester actor himself pledged that the prequel will stay truthful to the canon.
