Summary:

  • NBC’s comedy show The Office has been over for quite a long time now, but it seems like the series’ crew and cast had the time of their life on set which they would cherish years after the show’s end.
  • The Office’s finale got released more than 10 years ago, but it’s only now when John Krasinski finally opened up about stealing one famous prop on the final day of shooting.
  • The actor also clarified that one of his co-stars got to be an accidental witness of the theft, but never turned him in.

It’s been more than 10 years since NBC’s mockumentary sitcom The Office came to its end, but one of its actors can boast of having a home decor that reminds them of the show all the time.

With all the numerous memories created throughout the time of The Office’s several-years-long run, it was surely hard for everyone there to just let it go forever, and John Krasinski was the one who found a way out.

While promoting his brand new fantasy comedy IF, Krasinski made an appearance on the Office Ladies podcast run by Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey who he starred alongside in The Office.

Not missing such an opportunity to reminisce about their time on the show’s set, Krasinski, who portrayed Jim in the series, revealed that he’d felt quite emotional on the last day of filming saying that it “was just the scariest, most beautiful, horrific moment of my life”.

According to the actor, the end of The Office era affected him to the point that he’d felt brave enough to go and grab the Dunder Mifflin company sign that he’d taken home.

Krasinski’s revelation was then confirmed by his co-star and the podcast’s host Angela Kinsey who played Angela in The Office. The actress admitted she’d become an accidental witness of Krasinski cramming the sign into his car, a fascinating scene that eventually got to be “one of her favorite memories” from the last day of shooting.

The actor then clarified this difficulty of the whole situation recalling that he’d asked Angela not to tell anyone as at that moment it hadn’t been yet that dark and he’d looked like a burglar or someone hiding a body in their car.

According to Kinsey, she eventually kept Krasinski’s secret and never told anyone about the stolen sign right until that podcast issue. The actress was in fact a good accomplice as, according to the actor, he wasn’t the only one that got his eye on the famous sign.

As he later on revealed, The Office’s creator Greg Daniels was looking for the sign after Krasinski had already put it in his car and, when the latter was asked about whether he’d seen it somewhere, Daniels lamented that he’d also wanted to take the prop home.
