When someone mentiones Michael Bay, we immediately think of epic CGI, big box office and, of course, explosions. Sounds like it's long overdue for a certain someone to dab into the superhero movie genre.

Michael Bay has been quite dodgy when it comes to directing superhero movies. He is undoubtedly a legend when it comes to action movies, but it seems that he has his doubts about helming a superhero blockbuster.

It's not like a lot has changed, but Bay appears to leave the door open for him to slide into, say, Marvel universe one day. But there's one condition.

"It's not that I'm not interested in Marvel," Bay said. "I want to do my own thing. I would love to do a superhero thing but I want to do it on my own terms and create my own world," he told ComicBook in an interview.

That's not a big step away from his sentiments voiced in 2017, when Bay pointed out that he wanted to do something unique. Today, he is adamant about one thing: he's not someone to go to for sequels.

"I'm not the guy to go into Lucas' Star Wars and do Star Wars Five. That's not me. I'm not the one to come into Iron Man Seven. I'm not the one to do Batman 10. I want to do my own thing. I would love to do a superhero thing but I want to do it on my own terms and create my own world," Bay said.

So, Michael Bay Cinematic Universe?

Or is the explosions' master just jealous of Marvel's success?

Some people would actually want him to direct a movie for the already existing superhero universe.

You most likely know Bay from the Transformers ' franchise, which he turned into a spectacular and commercially-successful show for at least three movies, then starting to receive criticism for "milking" the universe.
