This was most likely due to criticism that was too harsh.

In a recent video, Star Wars Theory, arguably the most popular Star Wars blogger on YouTube, revealed that Disney had blacklisted him.

According to the blogger, a close friend told him that he was in Lucasfilm's black list.

In his opinion, this was due to the fact that he was too direct and openly critical of Disney's new Star Wars projects, as he is extremely devoted to George Lucas and what he has done for Star Wars.

The YouTuber also shared that his goal is to get more subscribers to his channel than the official Star Wars channel – he currently has 3.3 million subscribers to the official Star Wars channel's 4 million.

Being blacklisted means not being invited to special events, invitations and no free tickets to screenings and premieres of new movies.

However, some fans of the franchise believe that if the YouTuber is indeed blacklisted, it is because he not only criticizes new projects like Andor, but also insults and attacks their creators.

George Lucas has never directly commented on new projects, however, Star Wars Theory stated in its video that Lucas disapproves of new Star Wars movies and shows:

"I know people who know [George Lucas] and they say he's not too happy with the stuff that been — kind of like the sequel trilogy stuff."

One cannot find a single interview in which George expresses his direct approval or disapproval of what is currently happening with the Star Wars franchise, but from vague comments one can infer that if he still owned the rights, the history of the franchise would be different:

"I kind of lost control of Star Wars, so it's going off in a different path than what I intended but the first six [Star Wars films] are very much mine and my philosophy."

Despite the fact that Lucas is the creator of Star Wars, some of his ideas have caused skepticism among fans, too.

For example, the second Star Wars trilogy was criticized for its excessive use of computer effects, faded characters, and awkward humor, for which Jar Jar Binks was largely responsible.
