Everyone’s favorite romantic drama has found a very weird rival.

It’s been ten days since Bridgerton ’s highly anticipated third season hit Netflix and quickly blew everyone away, but now it seems like the show’s reign in the streaming’s top is also quick to be over due to a competition that nobody saw coming.

According to the most recent data by FlixPatrol, one of Netflix’s brand new arrivals has unexpectedly climbed to the number one position in the American chart, leaving Bridgerton behind at the second place.

It’s fair to say that the streaming’s recently added comedy show Tires has zero things in common with the global hit, and the reasons for the former’s incredible success are also shrouded in mystery.

Is Tires Worth Watching?

Starring American stand-up comedian Shane Gillis, Tires premiered on Netflix on May 24 and initially follows Will, portrayed by Steve Gerben, who inherits his family’s troublesome auto-repair shop called Valley Forge Tires.

However hard it might seem for him, Will is still determined to turn his dying business deal into something thriving, but the biggest problem here appears to be Will’s obnoxious cousin Shane, portrayed by Gillis, who becomes the shop’s new employee and simultaneously Will’s pain in the neck.

What Do Fans and Critics Say About Tires?

Upon its release a couple of days ago, Tires couldn’t really boast of some decent critical acclaim, as for now it holds an average score of 50% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, viewers seem to be quite fond of it, and 95% from the audience prove it.

On top of that, even before the series arrived at Netflix for the viewers to say if it’s really that worthy, the streaming had greenlit a second season for Tires, but all the details, as well as a potential release date, are so far under a wrap.

Such a shift in Netflix’s top 10 is definitely not what everyone expected as Bridgerton’s stunning success with all of its 3 seasons seemed to be a certain guarantee for its long-standing reign that would go far beyond ten first days since the release.

Things may still turn another way around until the platform drops the second part of historical drama’s season 3 while the first one, as well as Tires, can be streamed on Netflix now.
