Yes, we get it. No, there is no chance.

Watch out as you might be heading straight into an unpopular fan opinion, but here we go: Draco Malfoy is not, in fact, fixable at any point of his character journey in the Harry Potter saga.

This hot take became a hit in the Harry Potter subreddit where fans shared their "unpopular" opinions about the Wizarding World saga. And it turns out that many people actually do not share the fandom's passion about Draco, arguing that it is largely led by the "I can fix him" belief.

Naturally, this opinion does not mean that Draco is a generally bad character. Fans agree that he is well-written and compelling, but at no point in the series was he likable. According to many, people are obsessed with Draco mainly because he was portrayed by charismatic actor Tom Felton in the movie series.

But when it comes to the book prototype...

"Book Draco is the worst. Movie Draco cast a cute kid for the role and later in the movies the writers gave him more vulnerability to his character which caused the "i can fix him" love for his character," Redditor TheKarmicKudu said.

Even though Draco is clearly not "fully evil" like Lord Voldemort or Professor Umbridge, his ethic dilemmas in The Half-Blood Prince were also not enough to redeem his character.

"That's why I really love the "crying in the bathroom" scene in the 6th book, right up to his failure to kill Dumbledore. It's really the first time we're sympathetic for Malfoy and there's this moment where you see how alike he and Harry are when it comes to the pressures placed on them, but Malfoy makes the easy choice over and over. He doesn't get a real redemption, regardless of his place in the epilogue," Redditor ipickmynosesomuch noted.

After all, let's not forget that Draco was, in fact, a spoiled child who lived by the faulted belief that muggle-born people are not equal to "his kind". When Voldemort "chose him" to kill Dumbledore, he wasn't appalled by it, even though the pressure on him clearly scared him.

This Character Totally Got the Short End of the Wand in Harry Potter Series

So, a villain and a complete monster? That's not about Draco Malfoy. But a dreamy bad guy who you can fix? That's not about Draco Malfoy either, duh.
