Okay, Benedict Cumberbatch fans, don't prepare yourself for yet another round of "Who is the best Sherlock ever" debate. Or maybe do.

Robert Downey Jr has officially boarded another Sherlock project, this time developed by HBO Max. He will be an executive producer of the show along with Lionel Wigram.

RDJ is no stranger to the universe of Sherlock Holmes, as he is in the fraternity of actors who portrayed the witty detective. This time, it will be his production company, Team Downey, that is going to tell Sherlock's story... once again, yeah. Twice again, actually, because HBO Max is talking two shows instead of just one.

It's unclear whether Downey will be the one to portray the detective in any of them, though.

But it seems that the entire idea has already faced some skepticism online, with some RDJ fans mocking him for his choice of a new project.

There has been so many Sherlocks, and multiverse is such a popular trend. It's basically calling for it!

Or maybe not.

And all some people wanted was just another 'Sherlock' movie with RDJ.

Downey Jr portrayed Sherlock Holmes in Guy Ritchie 's movies, with some people believing his take on detective from 221B Baker St. is the best one, and others siding with that of BBC's Benedict Cumberbatch or even the Soviet Russia's version brought to screen by Vasily Livanov. Whether you're a fan of those three, or a fan of Asian and female versions or even Dr. Watson, it seems like there are two more interpretations coming.

HBO Max, however, did not reveal the release dates, only saying that the shows currently are in early development stage.
