You wouldn't expect this many issues from the show about the school choir.

Despite being a huge phenomenon in the early 2010s, Glee has already earned a reputation as a highly unrealistic and problematic show.

There are some things that Glee got right back then, and there are certainly some things that Glee has done that have never been seen on television before.

But there are also things that should never have been shown in the first place.

Between a very creepy high school teacher with some predatory tendencies and racist remarks, a high school rivalry that ends up in an actual crack house, several serious injuries, and some very bad song choices for teenagers to cover, it's hard to point to at least one unproblematic character on the show.

Whether they're kids or adults, almost every Glee character has done something so wrong that you wouldn't want them around in real life.

In trying to remember some of the most flawless ones, Reddit Gleeks could only agree on two: Burt Hummel and Marley Rose.

While there's no doubt that Burt Hummel could have easily taken home the "Father of the Year" trophy in any contest he entered, Marley was never quite as popular.

Despite the writers' best efforts to bring her to the forefront in season 4, neither Melissa Benoist's acting nor her voice could make her more likable in the eyes of the fandom.

Viewers, already so used to watching a musical soap opera where everyone is a bad person and you have to enjoy it, couldn't appreciate the sweet and naive Marley.

Her stories always seemed so boring next to those of the other characters, and her quiet demeanor never impressed anyone.

Going through her own personal struggles with family and body issues, Marley Rose was your average high school student.

And therein lies the problem. No one wanted to watch a girl next door after spending three seasons in a class full of people who faked disabilities, stripped for money, and had affairs with their teachers.

If you're feeling nostalgic and want to bring back more of the chaos that Glee was into your life, you can stream the show on Hulu or Disney Plus.
