It's surprising how Marvel didn't go for the absolute perfect song for Avengers: Infinity War.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known (well, was known) for its crazy connections between its projects. Sometimes, the most unexpected connections arise from the very music featured in these films.

One song that was featured in Iron Man 2 (2010) is actually more suitable for another MCU movie, Avengers: Infinity War. The song in question is Another One Bites the Dust by Queen.

In Iron Man 2, Tony Starks gets drunk and acts aggressive during his own party. Rhodey snatches Stark’s old suit and the epic fight starts. Why was it epic? Well, for many reasons, but the music was certainly one of them. While two friends fight, a mix of three songs is playing in the background.

The three perfectly mixed songs are Robot Rock by Daft Punk, It Takes Two by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock, and of course, Another One Bites the Dust by Queen.

You have probably guessed why this song is suitable for Avengers: Infinity War. In the film, Thanos wipes out half of the universe, turning live beings into dust.

Interestingly, if you pay attention to the lyrics of Another One Bites the Dust, there are other, less evident connections to the events of the films. Let’s break it down.

“Steve walks warily down the street”

This connection isn't exactly subtle. We have Steve Rogers, Captain America, always ready, walking warily in every battle, with the weight of the world on his shoulders.

“With the brim pulled way down low”

This line reflects how Steve was on the run after the events of Civil War.

“Machine guns ready to go”

Every hero, be it Iron Man with his repulsors or Thor with his Stormbreaker, is always ready for battle. They're the “machine guns” of the MCU.

“Out of the doorway the bullets rip”

The relentless attack from Thanos and his army — they were the bullets that our heroes had to dodge.

“How do you think I'm going to get along without you when you're gone?”

This could be a lament from the remaining Avengers after losing their comrades.

Do you seriously need more evidence that this song would fit perfectly in Infinity War? It’s a shame the creators haven’t paid attention to the lyrics.
