However, all of these struggles may seem boring when you learn what happened to the actress at the tender age of 15 while she was filming for NBC's Flipper.
It's hard to imagine now, with all the security that keeps an eye on not only the cast but also the secrecy of the shows when they film in public, but Jessica Alba was kidnapped right off the set after some very disturbing phone calls.
The young star was missing for 14 hours before she was finally found bound, gagged and blindfolded in the back of a car.
The most horrifying part of the story is that Alba was unable to provide any details about the kidnapper, so the case was dismissed by the police, even though the actress has suffered from the trauma for years.
Although the actress herself decided not to speak about the matter, many fans believe that this Flipper incident is the reason why the actress is so private about her life.
Going through such a frightening experience with such a frustrating outcome must have been extremely difficult, and it's a miracle that Jessica Alba was strong enough to continue her career at all.
Luckily for fans, the actress didn't let this incident break her character and her passion for acting.
Later, she gave us an amazing performance as Max Guevara in Dark Angel, which brought Alba universal recognition and earned her the role of the Invisible Woman in Fantastic Four and countless romances.
