In the upcoming Miles Morales sequel we should be expecting a handful of web-slingers, but one of them is going to stand out – and here's how.

Oscar Isaac 's futuristic Spider-Man 2099 is the only Spidey variant that is going to be completely serious and won't crack jokes, the actor revealed to Screen Rant.

"The thing I can say is, what makes this character so funny is that he's the one Spider-Man that doesn't have a sense of humor. Because all of them act like-- they're like wisecracks, right? Everybody wisecracks, except this guy just doesn't. He's a very serious Spider-Man," Isaac explained.

It's understandable that the contrast between O'Hara's "serious" Spider-Man and his fellow web-slingers, who are known and loved for cracking jokes, will contribute to the comedic effect of their interactions.

But fans, especially those who are into comic books, are lowkey disappointed with Miguel's seriousness, arguing that it would be much better for Spider-Man 2099 to have dry humor, and not just go full-on poker-face mode.

Oscar Isaac's less-than-hilarious Spider-Man will join other web-slingers alongside Miles Morales in the upcoming 'Spider-Verse' sequel, scheduled to hit the screens on June 2, 2023.
