It's always nice to have someone tell you you're great. But it is so special when that someone is actually a renowned and recognized person that you trust and respect. Which is why Chris Hemsworth appreciates what his Avengers: Endgame co-star Robert Downey Jr. had to say about one of his scenes.

In an interview with Josh Horowitz for the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Hemsworth shared the Iron Man actor's words of praise about a scene in which Thor tells the story of his life and all that he has lost.

After his monologue, Downey told him that sometimes in a career you have certain moments where you are terribly successful. It really is the sweet spot that you have to value.

"A few times in your career, you have little moments where you hit the bullseye and it's like… you're in the sweet spot ... enjoy it,'" Downey told him.

These words came as a pleasant surprise to Hemsworth, who will be forever grateful to Downey Jr.

"I remember that scene [in Avengers: Endgame] where I sort of start breaking down, pitching everyone the mission, and talking about my family, and who died, and so on," the Avengers: Endgame star shared.

He said that there are certain moments in your career when everything comes together and there was a little bit of improvisation "I think it ended with me saying, 'I want a Bloody Mary,' to Downey", and he asked how I felt. And he replied that he forgot it was pretty special.

And that was when Downey Jr. uttered the words that meant so much to Hemsworth. "I really appreciated that, because I definitely felt something special about that moment… but who am I to judge, you know? And so, to have the godfather lean over and say, 'Well done, son…'," the actor added.

Hemsworth's career is certainly successful. He's the only one of the original Avengers to get four solo movies, and recently in an interview with Vanity Fair, the Thor actor said he'd be open to continuing Love and Thunder, if that's the case, especially if "there is something unique, fresh and unexpected to do with the character and the world."

But when asked if there will be an ending for Thor, since both Captain America and Iron Man have had theirs, Hemsworth admitted that the book will most likely have to be closed. However, he knows nothing about the plans. "You have this birth of a hero, the journey of a hero, then the death of a hero," he said adding that he has no idea what stage he is at.

Hemsworth recently made headlines after revealing that he has a high chance of developing Alzheimer's, as he is genetically predisposed to the disease. The discovery was made during the fifth episode of his Disney Plus series Limitless. However, the actor told his fans that he will not be retiring any time soon.
