Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy is one of 'The Boys' season 3 most anticipated additions, and some smart fans are already developing theories about the character's origins.

Soldier Boy is advertised as 'The Boys ' answer to Captain America from the MCU. Ackles' character has the same patriotic sentiments and also uses a shield to defeat his enemies. However, unlike Cap, the Soldier is much more violent and even crazy, as the recently released trailer in which Ackles kills a man with his shield certainly proves. Thanks to this trailer, fans have already developed a pretty convincing theory explaining why the Soldier Boy was absent from previous seasons of the series.

In a recent Reddit thread discussing the trailer, one of 'The Boys' fans offered a very curious look on the events shown in it. While Ackles' character was killing a guy with his shield, some people behind the camera were screaming in disgust and surprise, clearly not expecting what had happened. The fan theory is that, perhaps, the scene shown in the trailer was not a real war, but the making of a movie about a Soldier Boy that went drastically wrong.

This could certainly be 100% canon for 'The Boys' series where all the superheroes are also major movie and entertainment industry stars. Perhaps Soldier Boy's outburst of violence on a set of some film caused Vought International to send him under ice, banning him from appearing in previous seasons. If this is indeed the case, 'The Boys' fans should be prepared for a biting satire on Hollywood next season.

'The Boys' season 3 will arrive on Amazon Prime on June 3, 2022.
