Reddit Poll Reveals the Character Law & Order: SVU Fans Miss the Most

The cult crime procedural about the personal and professional lives of a group of cops and lawyers trying to rid the streets of New York of criminals has been around for ages, and it's hard to believe that SVU itself is just a spin-off of the original Law & Order series.

The series has now run for 24 seasons, and with such a length, it's no surprise that over the course of its existence, SVU has lost many interesting characters, either because the actors got bored or because they went in a different direction.

But fans remember all their favorite characters and still hope that some of them will return in the future.

The crime drama's fandom decided to run a poll on Reddit trying to find out which character fans miss the most, and the results were pretty obvious.

Just a few years ago, before Christopher Meloni returned to the Law & Order franchise, his character Elliot Stabler would have definitely taken the top spot in such a poll, but since the beloved detective is now running his own spin-off, fans were forced to pick one really popular ADA – Rafael Barba.

This Cuban-American prosecutor first appeared in the series' fourteenth season and quickly became a favorite character from the 'Law' side.

Although at first, he was just a recurring character, Dick Wolf and his team quickly realized his potential and promoted him to the main cast.

Barba spent quite a lot of time on the series, and his tremendous charisma and excellent personal storylines made him one of SVU's most interesting characters to follow.

Although Barba became a defense lawyer after leaving the prosecutor's office, fans were still hoping to see him return, and after a while their patience was rewarded.

Barba finally appeared in his new job on Law & Order... Just not in SVU.

Yes, Barba is the first former SVU main character to appear on Law & Order: Organized Crime – a fitting honor for a beloved character!
