Now that The Rings of Power resolved some mysteries, fans think they are onto something for the future seasons.

The Rings of Power dramatic finale has addressed a lot of mysteries of the first season. We finally know for sure that Halbrand is Sauron, and the Stranger is an Istari. The latter was a hint for many fans that he is, in fact, Gandalf, just like many people predicted.

At some point in the final episode, the Stranger told Eleanor Brandyfoot to "always follow your nose" when in doubt — an advice we've already heard from Gandalf in the original Lord of the Rings movies.

Now that Nori appears to be friends with the wise wizard-to-be, what could there possibly be for her to fear? However, some fans are already concerned for the adventurous Harfoot girl, suspecting that there is something dark awaiting her in the future.

"Calling it now: Nori will struggle and fall to darkness some time in the next seasons. That's why Gandalf was so insistent on Frodo travelling with his loyal Samwise!" Redditor krokodoc_ predicted.

Indeed, in the original movie trilogy, Gandalf insists that Frodo takes a friend with him when he embarks on a dangerous mission to take the Elden Ring out of Shire. Nori also has a friend by her side, Poppy, but it seems that the Stranger (if he is confirmed to be Gandalf) might not make sure that the two stay together.

If Nori indeed is to face something dark in The Rings of Power season 2, then Gandalf's thing with having hobbits sticking together is quite understandable.

It's unclear what kind of evil can Nori face in the upcoming season, but now that Sauron's identity is finally revealed, no one seems to be safe. The work on season 2 of The Rings of Power is currently underway, but the premiere date is yet to be announced.
