And we totally agree.

We sometimes wait until a certain sign to do something. For example, it’s not enough for a new series to come out for us to start watching it, even if the premise sounds good and it has our beloved actor among the cast. It’s also not enough sometimes when we get a friend's recommendation that it’s a good show.

But when the show becomes so popular that even Stephen King can’t hold it and just has to publicly state his opinion about it, well, then you know you have no choice but to check it out yourself. And we are sure many of you will tune in Taylor Sheridan ’s latest western called Landman.

In his Threads account, King wrote an honest post about the show, as he usually does. And it looks like someone has a guilty pleasure.

“LANDMAN: I sorta hate myself for liking this, the spine is all macho-macho man and like THE MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN and YELLOWSTONE, the main character is a fixer who takes no shit. We'd all like to be that guy. But Taylor Sheridan knows how to show ordinary men at work, and you gotta like that. Also, great country music needle drops,” King said.

Well, he has a point. Known as the landman, Tommy Norris is a crisis management exec for an oil company. He is a man’s man of sorts. But he has to deal with all the drama that comes his way, and as it always happens — it all unfolds into a gritty power struggle.

King also stated that Sheridan is successful in portraying men of such quality in his projects. The same goes about Yellowstone and The Mayor of Kingstown. So with that in mind, now’s the best time to speculate about Landman’s future.

Paramount+ still hasn’t confirmed the show’s renewal, but as far as it usually goes, there’s no chance season 2 is not happening. Season 1 ended on a major cliffhanger so the fans are dying to find out what lies ahead.

“Can we get more than 10 episodes? I hate these short 'seasons' that all the shows do now. Right when I'm really into it, poof it's over,” Redditor todd0x1 said.

Landman season 1 is available to watch on Paramount+.
