There are ten installments on the Fast and Furious sequence. The Walking Dead has teased us with six spinoffs. Does having a Brooklyn Nine Nine heist movie sound like a bad idea?

At least Terry Crews, who played 99th Precinct Detective Squad Boss Terry Jeffords on the sitcom series that ran for eight years on Fox and NBC, thinks it's a great idea. In his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor and former football star said he was all in.

"Oh my God. I am definitely still interested. I still think we could do a heist movie. We always had our yearly heist episode and I think that would be brilliant, especially with Peacock and all the great things that NBC can already do," he said.

The actor added that he has absolutely no doubt that every cast member would be happy "to do a nice hour and a half episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, make it three episodes all involving the heist and a new heist and it would be all wonderful."

While one of the Brooklyn Nine Nine leads is super excited about a possible reunion, not all fans of the show share his sentiments. The series premiered on Fox, which later canceled the show, only to be picked up by NBC. The final season aired in 2021 and some fans say they never want to hear about Brooklyn Nine Nine again. For many, season 7 was bad, let alone season 8.

In a nutshell, the show experienced what many otherwise successful shows have experienced: it overstayed its welcome. Many former fans argue that it should have been allowed to die with some form of dignity.

One of the most aggressive comments was directed at Terry Crews, who was accused of "willing to do anything if you pay him enough." And some Brooklyn 9-9 fans were simply fed up with the poor writing that made each new heist seem sillier and more over the top each season.

While most of the comments are negative, some B99 fans are actively rooting for a heist movie, saying that if Crews pulls this off, it will be legendary. It would be great to have the original cast, and some fans are willing to pay for their tickets in advance. Still, it should just be a new season with events set a few years in the future with the whole B99 back together.
