The White Lotus Season 3’s Most Repulsive Character Is Actually the Only One Who Doesn’t Give Me Chills

The White Lotus season 3 was maybe one of the most anticipated shows of this year, so when the first episode of the new chapter of this HBO series arrived on the streaming platform we didn't think twice before tuning it in immediately.

While the beginning of the season may have seemed a little too slow-paced, it soon made sure that we know it’s going to be a lot… again. After some time we meet the main characters of the season and realise with relief that they are a bunch of weirdos.

One of the key groups of the season is the Ratliff family consisting of parents with three kids: two boys and a girl. After a brief moment with them we realize all of them have secrets and hidden agendas, except Saxon Ratliff, the oldest son.

Everything he does and says repels me, it’s impossible to take his actions seriously and his jokes are so dull and sexist you just can’t stand him immediately. He jokes about private things inappropriately, he talks about his sister’s sex life (which is creepy), he tries so desperately to win any woman’s attention I almost feel sorry for how pathetic he is.

However, for all his creepiness, he is probably the only honest character in the show who seems to be upfront about everything that bothers him. It's as if he has no hidden plans and no intention of being anything more than he lets on. And the reasons we all hate him so much are simple: the creators want us to hate him, and Patrick Schwarzenegger is a great actor.

“In continuing with my monkey-primate theme, Saxon may be the most honest character this season. His urges are spoken and are right on the surface. He doesn’t seem to have any secret agenda. He’s gross and a simpleton, a completely non-spiritual, materialistic douche… but he’s an honest one. He’s a big, dumb monkey,” Redditor angielincoln said.

Fans Predict Sad Story for Saxon

We already know that the Ratliff family patriarch is in some kind of danger and may be exposed for some illegal things he did in the past. And it was already established that Saxon is working with him, so fans seem to have a theory as to why that fact was emphasized.

Fans are now expecting that Saxon will be forced to take the fall for his father for some stupid reason and get crushed in the end. Well, that sounds like something that could really happen in The White Lotus universe.

The White Lotus is available to stream on Hulu. Next episode premieres on Sunday, March 2.
