Nothing lasts forever.

As always, when a new month arrives, we all wait for the premieres on every streaming platform.

But as the new shows and movies are coming, the old ones have to go to make room. And of course, Netflix works by the same scheme, and this means that in February we will also be saying some goodbyes.

Here are five of the best movies that will soon be leaving the platform.

1. La La Land ( 2016) – February 1

City of Stars... will now shine without the amazing musical La La Land. The movie won so many Golden Globes for its cast and creators that it broke all records at the time. Frankly, there's nothing you can possibly dislike about the movie; its premise is simple, yet it's so relatable and heartbreaking that it's impossible to remain impartial.

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone 's performances as the lead couple are just uncanny, so it's no wonder that the movie about two people trying to figure out who they are and how to stay together ended up being a total success.

2. Murder on the Orient Express (1974) – February 1

There were several attempts to create a movie adaptation of this brilliant Agatha Christie's detective story, and even up to this day, the best one remains the original 1974 version. The cast of the movie is iconic as it includes Albert Finney, Sean Connery, and Ingrid Bergman.

The movie follows Christie's tale of betrayal, deception, and murder aboard the world-famous Orient Express, as Hercule Poirot has to rely on his natural intuition to determine who the murderer is.

3. Heat (1995) – February 1

Another masterpiece leaving Netflix on February 1 is this Michael Mann movie starring legendary actors Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. The movie centers on a character named Neil McCauley.

He's a criminal who doesn't try very hard to hide from the police, which is why his actions have caught the eye of a very determined cop, Vincent Hanna. He has made it his life's mission to take down McCauley and his team.

4. Black Swan (2010) – February 1

Darren Aronofsky's dark and deeply disturbing, yet brilliant and captivating psychological drama about a ballerina who didn't know what she was capable of. The role of Nina Sayers became one of the best in Natalie Portman 's career.

The movie dives deep into the human mentality, showing the audience the terrible reality of the world the main character has to live in and what she is forced to deal with in order to be successful.

5. Prisoners (2013) – February 10

Prisoners is director Denis Villeneuve's first English-language film, and needless to say, it turned out to be a huge success. This gripping dark thriller tells the story of a kidnapped girl whose concerned father, Keller Dover, brilliantly portrayed by Hugh Jackman, finally takes the law into his own hands in a desperate attempt to find his missing child.
