Even though The Flash left the audience thoroughly disappointed, one superstar is still in love with his appearance in the movie as it made his years-long dreams come true.
The Flash … The greatest superhero movie of all time that was promised but never arrived, this film turned out to be a massive, massive disappointment for everyone. The audience hated the way it looked (like a 2000's video game, duh), and the general public hated the immoral decision to bring back dead actors with zero consent.
The Flash "boasted" perhaps the most controversial movie star of the past couple of years and planned its own sequel long before the release of the first part, and the folks in charge wasted a small country's budget on marketing just to come out empty-handed as the movie bombed horrifically at the box office.
It's pretty safe to say at this point that no one, not a single person on this planet, is satisfied with the way The Flash turned out. It would've been safe to say that, rather, if not for how happy this movie made one particular Hollywood A-lister feel.
Unless you know that Nicolas Cage was to become the new Superman in Tim Burton's decades-old movie that never saw the light of the day, the actor's red-caped appearance in The Flash didn't make any sense to you. However, Cage himself has been wishing to finally put the cape on for over 25 years, and now…he is happy.
"Well, I was glad I didn't blink. For me, it was the feeling of being actualized. Even that look for that particular character, finally seeing it on screen, was satisfying. But as I said, it's quick," shared Nicolas Cage while talking to USA Today.
Just for this alone, we kind of don't feel the urge to hate The Flash as strongly as before. Sure, it's still a complete disaster and a massive wasted potential, but at least, it made Nicolas Cage happy and made his years-long dream come true. This almost makes us forgive the film for ever…OK, not everything, but a couple of things, for sure.
