This Iconic Supernatural Reunion Just Wasn't Meant To Happen
There was more than one opportunity for it, but tight schedules just tore the actors apart.
Jensen Ackles, being an executive producer of the show, did everything to get fans hooked on the idea, as he promised to involve more Supernatural characters in it.
Nothing is confirmed yet, but it is safe to say that demand is quite high, and The CW could face quite a backlash for canceling the show this early.
As the finale opened a lot of doors for possible comebacks, everyone is ready to see their favorite back on screen. For example, Jared Padalecki would always be welcome to join his on-screen brother in the role of Sam Winchester.
And, of course, the Destiel shippers are dying to see their favorite dynamic back in action with Misha Collins possibly coming back as Castiel.
What is even more upsetting than Misha Collins being asked to join Ackles for the finale and not being able to because of Gotham Knights filming, is Jensen Ackles being asked to join the cast of Gotham Knights and denying it.
That's right, the Supernatural reunion could've also happened on the set of Gotham Knights, but it just wasn't meant to be.
"I don't know if I'm supposed to reveal this, but we tried to work it out to have Jensen play Batman on the show. It was all kind of teed up, but unfortunately, Jensen was on another show at the time," Collins said in his interview with Multiverse of Color.
It would've been all kinds of awesome for the fans to see these two reunite and work on another project.
As Misha revealed, they both were psyched about this opportunity and tried to do everything possible to make it work, but it didn't.
Juggling several different shows at the same time is hard, so props to Jensen for trying to make it.
