There are a lot of reasons to be excited for 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' finally airing, but this particular scene seems to be a top-tier.

Warning: the following article contains spoilers for 'Obi-Wan Kenobi '

On May 27, Star Wars fans finally dived back into the world of the beloved franchise, with the two episodes of 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' premiering on Disney Plus. With people happily welcoming Evan McGregor's Kenobi and Hayden Christensen 's Darth Vader back on screens, there was one particular scene that actually broke fans' hearts and sent some chills down their spines at the same time.

At some point, Obi-Wan gets to know that Anakin Skywalker actually survived their gruesome fight depicted in the prequel trilogy. And hardly can fans process the combination of relief and concern that the Jedi Master feels, the scene cuts to Vader, disfigured by the lava, sitting in the tank and – you guessed it – breathing heavily.

Now that was something.

Fans felt genuinely heartbroken for Obi-Wan, who spent years thinking that he killed his former Padawan, to hear the news from Reva. People went through an emotional rollercoaster even though it has been decades after the prequel trilogy already revealed to the Star Wars fans that Anakin survived and turned into Darth Vader, the franchise's iconic villain.

It certainly seems like 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' is on track to deliver even more chilling surprises, given that there are four more episodes to air until June 22.
