It looks like the MCU's biggest star is in no hurry to appear in Marvel movies in the near future, refusing to sign a contract for some time already.

Tom Holland, who is only 26 years old, has already become a true Hollywood king, grossing billions of dollars at the box office and having a long list of blockbusters under his belt. And it looks like the actor is using all his leverage to get Disney to give him a big pay raise, as his 'Spider-Man' movies have proven to be the most in demand among Marvel fans. Perhaps the actor is just taking a break from filming these incredibly intense movies, or maybe he has some other plans, as Reddit users were quick to speculate.

Some fans have offered a rather curious theory regarding Holland's reluctance to star in new Marvel movies, suggesting that because of some of the restrictions that such an agreement has, the young actor cannot simply enjoy his personal life while working with such a huge studio as Disney.

"Yeah but I think he has to behave in certain ways while under contract like for example he can't do anything that would put his life in peril, I think I vaguely remember a story about how as soon as his deal was up he went snowboarding because he wasn't allowed to or something? So while he's waiting as a negotiation tactic he could also just be enjoying his freedom before going back to following contract rules." – /AverageLion101.

Others remain convinced that pay rise is the main issue, imagining how Holland's future would play out if he decided to play Peter Parker again in the coming years.

"If I had to guess I'd say it's gonna be a deal for another trilogy and a couple of ensemble appearances before passing the torch to Miles Morales. Fingers crossed a contract gets signed in time for Comic-Con!" – /KelStoker.
