There's no denying that Virgin River is full of drama and bombshells at every turn and there's never a dull moment.

But while that's what you may expect from a popular Netflix drama, and it may be interesting to watch most of the time, believe it or not – fans don't want petty drama just for the sake of it, especially when it comes to Doc and Hope.

It turns out viewers are, in fact, getting tired of Doc and Hope's relationship struggles and would like to see them happy instead.

Since the very first season of the hit series, fans have watched Doc and Hope really going through it, and it doesn't look like it's going to end anytime soon. It seems like these two can't go through a single episode without causing drama. Many viewers were initially sympathetic to the tension between the couple, but as the series has progressed, it's become clear that their relationship is far from healthy, and it's starting to wear thin on fans.

To start off, Doc cheated on Hope with none other than her best friend. As if that wasn't bad enough, they separated but got back together again. Then Hope didn't want people to know they were back together, which made no sense to the fans, who thought it was poor writing.

Bitterness, frustration, and embarrassment brought on by Doc's infidelity on Hope's part are certainly understandable. However, she's often quite rude and dismissive of everything he does and says and the viewers would like to see some more maturity and wisdom from someone her age.

Fans' Virgin River Season 5 Predictions May Be Setting the Bar Too High

And let's not forget what they did to Muriel. Stringing Muriel along into believing that she and Doc were dating was not only a cruel and childish thing to do, but some fans actually labeled it as disgusting. Their weird ploy left people confused about why Doc decided to go along with it in the first place.

Now, it doesn't help that the majority of fans don't like Hope and find her annoying and abrasive, often pointing out how her throwing temper tantrums, whenever someone tries to set a boundary with her, is irritating. Moreover, some loathe her to the point where it makes them consider not continuing the show.

As the new showrunner will be taking the reins for season 5, perhaps fans' opinions will be taken into account, and they will find a way to resolve the pair's drama by making them happy at last, whether it's together or separately.
