Looks like a certain someone can already be proclaimed the Dolores Umbridge of Yellowstone.

With the first episode of Yellowstone 's season 5 release, one thing remains the same: fans still hate Beth with a passion.

Despite her finally marrying the love of her life, and her father becoming the most powerful man in the state, she still behaves in a way that triggers almost every single Yellowstone viewer.

Yellowstone is a Misguided Lesson About What It Means to be a Strong Woman

According to fans, Beth has virtually no redeeming qualities and is extremely unlikable even though her storyline has the potential for sympathy. But even that appears to be ruined.

"Sheridan desperately needs to hire a woman writer, I don't know how he's made it that I find no sympathy for a woman who was forcefully sterilized. All of her scenes play out exactly the same either she's crying with Rip drinking and smoking or abusing Jamie. She's a cartoon villain," Redditor lounginaddict noted.

Bad writing is what appears to have turned Beth into an utterly despicable character instead of a powerful woman Sheridan might have planned her to be initially.

"She is Sheridan's fantasy badass woman but sadly, she's written as a caricature, with no redeeming qualities," Redditor HanginginWesteros said.

According to fans, Beth is so unlikable she doesn't even deserve a redeeming arc, even though Yellowstone might actually offer a way to redeem her.

The Best Yellowstone Character Is Also Its Worst Human Being

Yellowstone viewers clearly root for other characters to be redeemed – for instance, Jamie. But when it comes to Beth, she has few defenders, with people complaining that they have grown increasingly tired of her as nothing seems to change her awful personality. It's not like fans are hinting at something, but if something was to happen to Beth, it looks like a lot of people would celebrate.

The fifth season of the Kevin Costner-led drama premiered on November 13. The season will consist of 14 episodes.
